Juliet Grant (Patricia Clarkson Patricia Clarkson) flies from Canada to Cairo, Egypt, to spend a holiday with her husband Mark (Tom McCamus Tom McCamus), who is in charge of managing the United Nations refugee camp. Mark to's former security officer, Egyptian Tarek (Alexander Siddig Alexander Siddig) takes care of Juliet. Juliet meets Catherine (Elena Anaya Elena Anaya), a young woman in a similar situation at the embassy party, and the two visit the White Desert together. Catherine describes her old love with an Egyptian. After that, Tarek took Juliet on a tour of the beautiful scenery of Cairo, and Juliet found that she had a growing affection for him in her constant contact with him. The delicate feelings made Juliet very sad. This film won the best local film award at the Toronto International Film Festival in Canada.
