During World War II, the German Nazis spread the flames of war to the Czech Republic. However, in a rural railway station in the Czech Republic, there is a group of optimists who are irrelevant and hanging high. Flattering and pigeon-raising webmaster Marx (Vladim í r Valenta), flirtatious Hubik (Josef Somr), female station attendant Zannik (Vlastimil Brodsk arrow), and shy trainee Milo (V á Clav Neck á r). It is because of them that the dull country station is full of laughter. Milo and the female conductor Martha (Jitka Scoffin) fall in love, but in a happy time he finds himself not to lift! This made Milo lose the courage to live. This film won the best foreign language film Oscar in 1968.
