In "Shrinkage", Alexander Payne describes a financially strapped couple who decided to "shrink" to save money-making themselves smaller so that daily consumption would be much less. However, at the last second before shrinking, the wife retreated, and only the husband shrank. As a result, the mini husband (Matt Damon) and his wife began to discord in many aspects, and the relationship between the couple fell into tension.
