The beautiful and haughty Bathsheba came to Weatherbury to inherit her uncle's farm. The loyal and capable Chuck fell in love with her at first sight, but was rejected. Boldwood, a wealthy farmer, kept courting Bathsheba because of a misunderstanding. And Bathsheba married the handsome upper-middle Troy. However, romantic love ends after marriage. After several disturbances, Boldwood shot and killed Troy and turned himself in to the police. Bathsheba, who lost her husband, also faced the possibility of losing her farm. Then Oak came to her and gave the story a happy ending.
