Craig Craig (Kyle Gilcrest), a 16-year-old boy, often imagines his own death. After trying a variety of drugs to no avail, he comes to a mental hospital for treatment. There, he becomes friends with a garrulous Bobby Bobby (Zach Galifianakis) who committed suicide several times but didn't die, met a special girl, Noelle, and, of course, a lot of "abnormal people". In their life in the hospital, they gradually found the meaning of life, especially Bob Dylan's lyrics "He Not Busy Being Born Is Busy Dying" gave them great strength and gave them the courage to face the pressure of life. Finally, can Craig, who is discharged from the hospital, see the sun again in his otherwise gloomy life, and how will he find a relaxed and fulfilling life? The film is adapted from Ned Vizzini's novel of the same name and was filmed at a college prep school and a hospital in Brooklyn.
