The story takes place in Poland in 1944, when the iron hoofs of the German army set foot on this land of suffering. For a time, their lives were destroyed, and it became hell on earth. As a Jewish boy, Jacob (Robin Williams Robin Williams) and many boys like him are forced to be bullied by the Germans, all information channels are blocked by the army, and Poland becomes an isolated city. By accident, Jacob heard on the radio that the Germans were fighting with the Soviets, not anywhere else, in Bensanick, just a few hundred kilometers from Poland. The high-spirited Jacob decided to tell more people the precious news. With Jacob's addition, the Allied Soviet Union had gained an irreversible advantage in the struggle. This false message boosted the morale of the Jews, but it also reached the ears of the Germans, who began a meticulous investigation to catch the perpetrators of the rumors.
