This film is a two-stage film starring Anna Melanie as a short film made by two directors. The first paragraph is "The Human Voice" directed by Palilano, about a woman's entangled relationship with a man who no longer loves her over the phone. The whole film is almost an one-man show in a woman's bedroom. The second paragraph is "The Miracle" directed by Rosilini, which describes a simple-minded villager who is seduced by a stranger passing by on the hillside. She thinks the man is the apostle St. Joseph. The man who plays this pervert turns out to be a national treasure director. He is Fellini. Soon, the villager discovered that she was pregnant, and the villagers laughed at her, but she firmly believed that it was a miracle and that the baby she was carrying was Jesus. Finally she climbed to the shack at the top of the hill and gave birth to the baby, smiling and sucking her breasts for the baby.
