Liyana

Five orphans from an orphanage in a small African country, with the help of a storyteller, created and told a fairy tale with eight-year-old girl Liana as the protagonist, with their real experiences and their good wishes. Born and raised in a small village, Liana grew up in poverty, with a grandmother, mother, twin brothers and an alcoholic father. When the younger brothers were two or three years old, the father went to work in the city regardless of his wife and children, drank and soaked in nightclubs every night, became infected with AIDS and soon died. The mother was later found to be infected with HIV and soon passed away. One night, three robbers broke into the house, knocked Liana unconscious and took their twin brothers.
