Zurich's old freight terminal once brought prosperity to the city-it continuously sent and received goods, opening up new corridors to the world. However, 125 years later, this station, which symbolizes international exchanges and transnational transportation, has to make way for control, isolation and national security. A new prison and police center is planned to be built at the site of the freight station to house people awaiting deportation. Director Thomas Imbach fixed the camera position in front of his own window and observed and photographed the construction site for seven years. Machines run around the clock, and people work day and night to reshape this construction site and discover the beauty of life. Integrating personal experiences with the narration of new immigrants, the director expressed his inner concerns and discussed how humans should deal with the demise of history.
