Bilbo Baggins is a Hobbit in his 100 s. He lives in his hometown of the Shire and is naturally adventurous. During an adventure when he was young, he obtained the Ring from the monster Gollum. This ring was forged by the Dark Lord Sauron. It has the evil power to enslave the world and can command several other rings of power. In the battle between the Human Alliance and the Orc army 3000 years ago, the Alliance won and obtained the Ring. After thousands of years of twists and turns, the Ring fell into Gollum's hands and was accidentally obtained by Bilbo. Bilbo's mind was also affected by his time with the Ring of the Rings. At his 111th birthday party, he decided to leave everything to his nephew Frodo (Elijah Wood) and continue his adventure. Bilbo's good friend Gandalf, the gray wizard (Ian McKellen), knows the secret of the Ring, while the Dark Lord Sauron already knows that his Ring is in the hands of the Hobbits. Soran was rebuilding the fortress of Barado and gathering countless orcs, preparing to seize the Ring with an army and conquer the world. Gandalf convinces Frodo to escort the Ring to the Elven Kingdom of Rivenhill, where Frodo returns to his good friends Sam, Pippin and May.
