In 1969 in London, two "dormant" (fired and unhired) actors Withnail and Marwood were parasitic in a wet, cold environment with dishwashers, fanatical drug dealers and mad Irish. They decided to leave the dirty place and go to the country to live an idyllic life in Uncle Withnail Monty's cottage. But when they got there, it was raining all day, there was no food, and even their basic survival skills were not enough. Fortunately, the arrival of Uncle Monty solved all their troubles. But a new problem arises again, and Monty seems to be too enthusiastic about Marwood. Behind the scenes / tidbits this film has always been regarded as one of the best British comedies, student classics, and is often mentioned. Withnail and I and I tell the story of two down-and-out London actors struggling to get rid of drugs, alcohol and depravity in the last months of the 1960s to see the beauty of the Lake District. The hilarious scene runs through the whole film.
