Paris, 1895. Pierre is a Parisian playboy and poet on the brink of fame. He and his poet friend Henry fell madly in love with their mentor, Mary, the daughter of France-Cuba Joseph Marial de Eredia. Although Mary loved Pierre, she married Henry to pay off her father's debts and seek a better social status. So Pierre decided to flee to Algeria, where he met zohar and returned to Paris with her two years later. He found Mary again and started a cat-and-mouse game.
