There is a gang that illegally resells foreign currency in a coastal city in the south. A guy called the "Count" used travel as an excuse to go abroad to perform tasks assigned by the gang leader. He happened to be traveling with Semyon Semyonovich, an economist who did not speak much but was very modest. As the story continues, it is unexpected: if the "count" breaks up with his new acquaintance, he will not be able to complete the task...
