The film documents the ten-day debate that ABC invited Al Vidal and William F. Buckley during the 1968 Democratic and Republican National Convention, and evaluates the impact of the debate on the future of television and the contemporary exchange of views. Based on the best part of the live TV, it shows the process from political criticism to personal attack, and fairly selects the interviewees of both sides, and introduces the life resumes of both sides according to the current politics of the United States.
