During the Iraq War, Billy Lynn (Joe Alwyn), a 19-year-old technician from Texas, USA, became a household name because of an accidental video. It was a small-scale but very fierce encounter. During the battle, Lynn's squad leader of Class B (played by Van Diesel) was ambushed and kidnapped by local militants, and Lynn took risks to rescue the squad leader. The release of the video made him a hero admired by people across the United States, but few people understood what he and his comrades had gone through. Class B was given a short leave to bury their squad leader, so they were invited to a football game in Texas. Lynn's sister is deeply guilty about an incident, and she hopes that her brother can take this opportunity to return to ordinary life. On the other hand, the surrounding agents, fans, big bosses, and ordinary people have various assumptions about war, defending the country, and soldiers. The celebration on the court opened grandly, but the hearts of Lynn and his comrades became heavier and more anxious... This film is based on the novel of the same name by author Ben Fountain.
