The unimpressive-looking Ali (Matthias Chunel Matthias Schoenaerts) used to be a spectacular fighter who has lost his living security since he was injured. When he is down and out, he takes his son Sam (Armand Verdure) to his sister and finds a job as a bodyguard there. One night, Ali becomes acquainted with Stephanie (Marion Cotillard Marion Cotillard), a beautiful woman who has a dispute with others. Stephanie is a killer whale trainer, but the girl, who is well-fed and surrounded by a halo, was robbed of her legs by orcas during a routine performance. Men and women who have experienced different lives overlap each other's fate and diplomacy. Based on a collection of short stories of the same name by Canadian novelist Craig Davidson, the film won Best Actor (Matthias Schoenaerts), Best Director and Best Screenplay at the 2012 Spanish Varadolid International Film Festival.
