Peach, 75, lives alone on the outskirts of Tokyo. Since he fled to Tokyo at the age of 20 to avoid an arranged marriage, Taozi has started a family of his own and lived happily for 55 years. After the sudden death of her husband, the plan to spend his twilight years peacefully was thwarted, but the peach, who became an old man living alone, unexpectedly gained three spiritual companions, so he regained his former vitality and re-examined his past life with intertwined memories and reality. Japanese director Seiichi Okada's new novel is adapted from the autobiographical novel of the same name by 63-year-old Japanese female writer Ruozhu Sakako, with the old actor Tanaka Yuko as the protagonist Taozi and Aoi as the 20-34-year-old peach.
