The story takes place in Salonta, a small town on the border between Romania and Hungary, through which many illegal immigrants hope to enter Hungary and then further into Western Europe. Nelu, in his forties, is a security guard at a local supermarket. His days are fixed. He gets up early to catch fish, then works, and goes back to his wife Florica at night. They live in a sparsely populated place outside the city. One morning, Nelu "caught" not a fish from the river, but a Turkish man trying to cross the border. Although they don't understand the language, they seem to be able to understand each other. Nelu takes the stranger home, feeds him and dries his clothes. In return, the Turkish man gave him a large sum of money, as long as Nelu could help him cross the border. The behind-the-scenes film, co-produced by Romania, Hungary and France, won the Special jury Award, Don Quixote Award and Youth Award at the 2010 Logaro Film Festival in Switzerland. The film is the debut of Romanian director Marjan Christian, who won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival two years ago for his short film Megatron.
