On August 9, 1945, the United States dropped an atomic bomb on Japan. Haoji, a young student at the University of Medical Science and Technology (Ermiyong and also acted the role of), died without warning. In the twinkling of an eye, three years later, Haoji's mother, Nobuko Fukuhara (Yoshinaka Sayuri), seems to gradually admit the fact that her son is no longer alive, her husband and two sons have passed away, alone through the hard years under the support of faith. One night, Hao er suddenly appeared beside his mother. The stretch son was overjoyed and had a warm conversation with his son. Hao er does not improve the personality of talking, talking and laughing with his mother, of course, there is another reason for him to hang around the world, that is to miss his congenial fiancee Sadoko Machiko (played by Akira Kuroki).
