Jury Award of the 2007 Berlin Film Festival. Tell the story of a mysterious man who has changed his identity. As usual, a business trip to another country one day became the beginning of another journey: when he arrived at his destination, Juan Desouza found a man beside him dead. Like entering a game world, he decided to use this person's identity to find a job for himself, a place to live, and did not want to go back to his old life. In his new life, where possible, without a purpose, the man embarked on an adventure to explore his nature. In order to rediscover his outlook on life, he used his most basic instincts to try to understand his understanding of life. For him, there is not only one possibility of what kind of life he chooses and why he is alive. The film was co-produced by Germany and France with Argentina, and Ariel Lott, a young Argentine director and screenwriter, returned to Berlin with "El otro" following the release of "S ó lo por hoy" (living elsewhere) in 2001.
