Industry is highly developed, bringing unprecedented convenience to human life, but at the same time pushing the world to the brink of destruction. People focus too much on the improvement of their own living standards, while neglecting the reasonable protection of the earth on which they depend for survival. As carbon dioxide emissions continue to increase and the world warms up, glaciers at the poles begin to melt. For a decade, scientists around the world have been warning the world that rising sea levels will eventually flood human homes, but the real threat is much more than that. Adem (Aaron Ashmore), Frederick (Kyle Schmid) and Chen Ling (Steph Song) come to Banks Island in northern Canada to assist ecologist David Krupan (Val Kilmer) in their study. They found the body of the polar bear left here by Dr. Kruppan at the research station, when the doctor and his party had been infected with a mysterious virus carried by the polar bear. As the glacier melts, the deadly virus awakens from eternal sleep.
