Mahmut (Muzaffer ö zdemir), who is over 40, is an independent photographer from rural Turkey. After years of hard work, he finally has a place in Istanbul and leads a quiet and comfortable life by himself after breaking up with his wife. One day, his cousin Yusuf (Emin Toprak) from his hometown broke into the world of Mahmut. The closure of the factory in his hometown cost the introverted Yusuf his job. in order to support his family and cure his mother, he went to the big city alone, during which time he temporarily stayed in his cousin's apartment. After years of separation and different life paths, the cousins had nothing in common, while Mahmut became more and more tired of Yusuf's intrusion into his personal world. The film won the Turkish Best Director of the year and Best Picture of the year and International Film critic Phoebe Award at the 2003 Istanbul International Film Festival, and the jury Award at the Cannes Film Festival in 2003.
